MotoGP » Checa to test GP12 for Ducati?

The Spaniard would be the ideal solution for Ducati in its efforts to maintain a consistent development curve on the GP12.

Is it just me who thinks that ducati have suffered most from the 6 engine rule? That's when they really lost the top speed advantage.Wouldn't be surprised if in 2007 and 2008 they changed engines between qualifying and race. With restrictions then they have to lower the power to save engines. They've never been involved with endurance racing, says something about how their motors in general are built.Wonder how many motors Carlos used this year in WSBK?

makes perfect sense to me. Checa has won the WSB championship so he and his team are obviously doing some thing right. Get some one on it who knows what they are doing.

@huh yep agreed Stoner had four years experience on different itrrations of Duc and still couldn't arrest its steady decline even though he is 90% versus Rossics less than one season.

Get a clue people! The current Dynamic Duo (VR/BUR) aren't getting anywhere so getting additional input from anyone is a plus.

And getting input/data from the superbike team isn't a bad idea either. Rossi has Ducati re-inventing the wheel, which is insane, when you have mountains of data and years of experience making fast motorcycles already in the files.

Hello Ducati??? Do something DIFFERENT!!! because you haven't done squat as of yet.. Want proof? Hayden's/Abraham's GP11 is just as fast!

This is getting sooooo old! or maybe is Rossi's shoulder. ,, yeah that's it! ,once his shoulder heals in 3 years the Duc will be fast again. Hey, how did a fanboi get onto my post..

@ ausrossi

You aren't actually trying to infer that Rossi is better on the Ducati than Stoner are you? On the Ducati, Stoner looked like a fast rider who crashed but still managed to attain alien status. This year on the Ducati, Rossi looks like an ordinary rider who might not crash, but is certainly no longer worthy of the alien title.

Things are not looking good for 2012 if they need Checa to test the thing.
