how is Rossi expected to test with a broken finger. You need to be at your best to test. Rossi just isn't at his best. He's had a shoulder injury that seems to have lingered on for quite some time plus now he has a broken bone. What else could happen to him.

Silvio, this has nothing to do with moaning fans. People share their view on the present, everyone knows that Rossi has won 9 championships, as with that, its all in the past. Can Rossi go on to make history by winning on the Ducati?

No one knows, the fact now (in the present) the 9 time world champ can't win races on the Ducati. Let's face it - he sucks on it.

So until ducati sorts things out, he'll still not be on podiums or win races.

Simple as that.

His injuries in Valencia didn't prevent him from testing, nor making demands on changing the bike, to which Ducati complied.

Shoulder injury, pinky finger.......shoulder injury, pinky finger.........

It's a good thing Rossi has never made comments about how the current crop of riders are pussies...........

as 2011 is closing to final round,it has testified where rossis class really is when given imperfect bike.hmmmmmm.......

Casey had given Ducati fans something to release their adrenaline as watching him racing with that Italia's red flaming pride.

Thank you all for providing much hilarity on what has been so far a very mundane Friday at work.

Stoner fans, just restrain yourselves until Stoner is 32 and then compare his achievements to his rivals... he still has a lot to prove, but still has time to do it.

Rossi fans, just let the Stonerphiles enjoy their moment in the spotlight, it only comes around once every 4 years :)

Keep up the good work crash.net :D

When Ducati build him a good bike instead of that pile Stoner developed.......LCtanner.

Hmmm, would that be the pile that Stoner won 23 races on LC?
How many has Rossi won om it?
The bike Rossi is riding now is nothing whatsoever to do with Stoner. It is a monstrosity made by Rossi and Burgess that is busy going backwards.Admit it mate,Rossi has been exposed this year for the average rider that he is.His best bike advantages have been taken away from him and now it is clear that he is no better than many others on the grid.Stoner on the other hand can jump on any bike and win on it.Put him on the Suzuki and i bet he would win at least one race on it next season. He is that good.

Hayden is quite competent at testing and a fully fit Hayden will do an excellent job subbing for Vale. People on here keep talking about when Pedrosa said Nicky's testing was crap on the Honda etc etc....but no-one pointed out that he also won the title while doing all this Honda testing while 5 years later Pedrosa has done squat for a title!!
PS Hayden was on point at Montegi for a possible fourth...which was arguably the best Vale would have done as well...so testing the GP12 with Hayden is an excellent choice in the wake of their #1 rider being less than 100%.
The comparison to Hopper is also invalid as Hopper is fighting for a title so the benefits outweigh the risks..PS Hopper did not race at the very next BSB round because his position was locked for the title fight. Risk outweighed the benefit in that scenario..

And Rossi is fighting to retain 6th in Championship standings. He cannot afford to miss PI. Pride at stake sees the contusion to the pinkey less painfull than it appeared prior to testing. Give Nick some jet lag to level the playing field. Crikey !! Rossi finishing lower than 4th in the final standings is already a given. Lower than 5th is on the cards. Lower than 6th is also on the cards. Off to PI he goes.

All of you Rossi fans gave Stoner a hard time when he missed races due to his illness. Now Rossi gets a hangnail and can't ride. Bayliss ground his finger off and still raced. Rossi needs to HTFU.
