"get well soon Rossi... I'm sure it won't affect you on the bike when the adreneline gets going."

Don't you worry about our tough little soldier Valentino, I'm sending him some nail hardener so he is never in this awful predicament ever again.

Writing is on the wall me thinks......There will be no 2012 between Ducati and Rossi.

In fact I wouldn't be surprised to hear he's retiring at the end of this year.

He has lost ability as a rider no matter how you twist what has happened this year.

He rides with no confidence whatsoever and his reflexes and judgement is much lower.

Rossi is the best businessman in the sport. no way he would retire early-He left yamaha because Ducati were offering a hell of a lot more money, now all he has to do is cruise round every race and collect the cash.

Wonder who made the decision for hayden to test-Ducati or Rossi.

Got to think it was Ducati considering that Rossi was testing the Ducati with an injured shoulder pre season so dont see why such a minor finger injury would make him not want to test.

Either way, its good that Hayden will get a chance to try out next years bike

Doohan was winning WC's on a two-stroke with no traction control, with hit thumb on the rear brake, two fingers on the clutch with 1.5 fingers left to hold onto the grip.

News flash for the next round. "Rossi claims broken finger costing him 1.5 seconds per lap which on corrected times would put him on the front row"

Nahhh, he'd never try to spin that type of cr@p.....again.....

Are people really that desperate to try and discredit Rossi? If you hate him, want to belittle him, whatever, then at least choose a subject that has some substance to it.

Seriously... is it really that big of a deal that a rider would rather wait a week in order for a finger to heal than go to a test?

I'm pretty sure even those having a good laugh at this will agree that if Phillip Island was this weekend, then Rossi would be riding.

This is the guy who was on an R1 setting lap times close to the Superbike guys at Misano 30 days after an exposed fracture in his leg! Keep it in perspective and maybe we'll actually come up with something constructive on this site for once.

That's exactly the point. He can jump on a production motorcycle after a leg fracture, but cannot be bothered to spend a day after a pinky fracture to determine the continued direction of HIS motorcycle. Ducati will listen to his feedback and change a winning motorcycle while he is riding injured but he cannot ride and give feedback with an injured pinky.

This is a test about the future of his motorcycle, and he refuses to go because he hurt his little finger. Brilliant.

As far as the flack he is getting (he's a pu$$y etc), he had it coming to him. He doesn't deserve it, but he sure as hell earned it.

This board, as far as who post here, has become a joke. Fat slobs, who have most likely never thrown a leg over a scooter, much less a race machine, sit behind their computer screens while facebooking and tweeting other losers, ridiculing the best motorcycle riders on the planet. Yes Rossi sucks, Stoner sucks, hayden sucks, blah blah blah....get off the computer, go outside, and mingle with some real people in person. Stop the F**king hate !!!
