@ Clueless.
Should not address your post because your handle says it all.......clueless.
Comparing Rainey to Doohan is futile. Rainey wins hands down even though he was 2 titles down on Doohan.
Rainey raced against.
Doohan 5 titles
Schwantz 1 title
Gardner 1 title
Lawson 3 titles
Mamola runner up to 4 titles
Creville 1 title.

Doohan raced against.
Schwantz 1 title
Creville 1 title
Schwantz retired in Doohans 2nd title year, so basically Doohan had no real title contenders to beat. And squeeled like a stuffed pig about Creville following him. Doohans anti Rossi because he equalled Doohans 5 titles in a row.

And to finish up, Stoner won't come close to Rossi or Doohan, come to think of it won't even emulate Rainey's record. See ya.

KRoberts jr.
In 1999, Suzuki signed him to their Grand Prix team. His debut race with Suzuki in Malaysia resulted in a surprise win, defeating the reigning champion, Michael Doohan. He went on to win the second race in Japan, where he again defeated Doohan. This winning streak put him as a strong contender to challenge Doohan for the championship. However Doohan retired due to injuries suffered during an accident on the third race in Spain.

So it was 1 hit wonder JR. who chased MD out of the WC. LOL

Well maybe he could beat rossi record if he started his motogp career with repsol honda. Maybe he had win multiple WC by now, we may never know had not win his last 2WC in 800 so that would reduce Rossis title to just 5 so it possible to beat the record ,but as I see it it is impossible to beat, but he can win more gp races to come.

@Facefacts, I assume you use facts in your handle because facts are important to you? Couple of questions:

How many titles did Lawson win?
If Rainey raced against Doohan, then perhaps (long stretch I know) but, just maybe Doohan also raced against Rainey?

Everyone you mentioned in your brave but misguided post Doohan was smashing race after race until he crashed at assen and they almost amputated his leg. He made a come back and won 5 titles.

Doohan did not race against Rainey to win his titles. Yet Rainey raced against Doohan to win his. Comprehend?
Thanks for picking up on an error in my post pertaining to Lawsons titles. Makes Raineys feats all the more impressive.
To the poster who questioned what my point was earlier. Doohan raced against no bodies to win those titles, and he never nearly got killed at assen. Just broke his leg, but it got infected and caused massive complications.

"Doohan raced against no bodies to win those titles"

Yes, you're right he raced nobody's - because he dominated everyone he came up against. Unlike your good self, the immortal internet warrior whose strikingly insightful tweets and anonymous posts on random internet forums will have him (her?) self noted in the annuls of time.

@Lost the Plot!
"Mighty Moaning Doohan is a broke washed up hasbeen"

Yes, I'm sure he worries about that whilst polishing his 5 (consecutive) world titles and receiving calls from M Schumacher asking him if he can borrow his launch whilst the F1 is in town... Meanwhile on the other hand, your skills as an internet warrior are legend....
