It is so easy to separate the true GP fans from the circus fans.
A GP fan takes delight (with heart pumping) the likes of Stoner sliding that Ducati around a race track, PI comes to mind sliding that beast around with Rossi right up his date that to me is entertainment as it is with all true GP fans whom ever they are fans of.
Circus fans however love the antics the winner puts on after the race.
The last witty GP winner I can remember (who was funny) was the late RIP Barry Sheen.
Now he was funny without being an idiot.

When Rossi wins, they say it big money involved.
When Rossi sucks, they say the GOAT is not that good.
When Rossi struggle on duc, they say stoner is better.
When Rossi will win on duc, they say it's only dream...

Typical hater, never happy inside their heart. So soorryyyy for these guys...shameful...bad life !!!

David 1567, how can you be so certain Rossi will not ever win on the Ducati? Then at the end of your comment you state no ifs, buts or maybes. Your comment is pure fantasy intended to discredit Valentino Rossi in order to push up Stoner. True motorcyle race fans will appreciate both of these great riders.

I'm not a Rossi fan but the way some posters here attempt to belittle his records is just pathetic.

People that judge they are real GP fan are as ridicoulous as what they claim.
Everybody has it's own interest. Some people like standard & plain thing, some people like some fancy thing in celebration.
Sadly, majority love what Rossi doing.... It's a good life....be happy & smile.....

@Doug17
You're right mate, Aussies are just whingers, and they can't ride for ****.
That's why the MotoGP is currently being contested by all of those Yanks & Poms.....oh dear, when was the last time that happened? 2006 when the least skilled rider ever to win a championship was crowned.
Wanker...

I have been following Stoner's career since the 250 days and following 5ooGP/MotoGP from the early 80's. I believe he's got more natural talent than any other rider since Shwantz, however I don't think he will match MD's or Rossi's records and it's not for the reasons you think.

Because he's not interested in statistics or being the centre of attention and is a bit of a recluse, it's the actual racing and the bikes that keep him there. If it becomes stale or boring he will simply leave and do something else

Baaa Baaa Baaa.
Yea they were really whipping his a$$ in 92 before his accident in which he almost lost his leg and the tail end of 93 when he beginning to recover.
He came second in 92 after missing half the year due to injury loosing out to Rainey by just 2 points.
In 93 still suffering from injury he came home third to Shwantz and Rainey But developed the lever brake and went on to thrash his US opposition in 94 the rest is history.
Not to worry you have a GREAT former WC still doing great racing his name is Nicky Hayden. A real champion
someone to really look up not some old Aussie has been.
Yea right.

who knows what casey is going to do after his wife
has the baby, he might not want to miss out on all of that and spend time on the farm with his family.
he might even has his baby in the grid with him in the pram next to adriana lol

he might pass MD's win record but cant see him beating his WC record, as for passing Rossi's 9, that would be mission impossible, he's left it to late, yer he might be only 26 but what's he going to do , race till he's 35 having won 8 titles in a row?? i dont think so.

he is the best out there for the moment, but that wont last forever, he is great now but will never be classed as the GOAT. unless you listen to Greg Rust praise casey week in week out

there is always someone better who comes alone one day.
