I am really looking forward to Moto3 with a broad array of chassis and engine combinations available. There are plenty of manufacturers with the ability to make a competitive Moto3 engine. The current 125cc class is a bit bland on that front. Add in keen young guns wanting to make their mark and next season will certainly throw up some surprises

Remember all the talk about a 4 stroke successor to the Aprilia RS250?
Well it never happened, and probably never will.

But could KTM make a road legal 250 4 stroke sports bike with either a 33bhp spec (a'la Honda or Kawasaki), or a full bore 45bhp mini race rep?

The Jap bikes are way too heavy at circa 150kg, I'm sure KTM could make a 120kg version?
Genuine small capacity cornering machine!

Well a full factory chassis for one team and a outsourced chassis for other teams...

Seems like que 125cc class already. Sure, there are more manufactureres involved but starting from day zero with an "official team" and privateer teams will be bad for racing in a class it was supposed to be cost capped.

Sounds like the Moto3 class will be interesting with the multiple manufacturers involved. Hopefully SpeedTV in the States will show it again.

Good news, with that KTM-Moto3 Factory bike too. We will see as some one mentioned a RR's - Road Replicas (250's stroker twins of the Past) Version likely to be built by Bajaj in the near Future. Just like their Baby Duke's ... these one would be very special. Taking into the Euro Regulations, A 33Bhp a Feather Weight Mono (120 kg's) with similar or cheaper price against the CBR250 or the Ninja 250 would make sense ... then we are in for a treat. A 15 BHP restricted ones with the same motor (or) Scale down 125 Motor would also make them perfect Learners bike. Further this will opens the door for their single race series (KTM CUP) with around 45 bhp kited ones for their Red Bull Cup & similar series around the Globe. The possibilities are many.

Cheers - TZ750.

Previous KTM efforts used an FTR frame or FTR built frame. That is the same FTR of Moto2 fame.

....and KTM as been fairly successful in the past, Stoner, Kalio, Aoyama with plenty of wins, I can see them being successful again.
