The Italian is believed to have turned down an offer from Honda to ride with LCR after Marco Simoncelli was given the same deal with Gresini.

Pity Yamaha couldn't give Dovi Factory assistance so he could steal points from the Repsol Hondas. The current Tech3 bike isn't going to get him anywhere in a hurry...

next season the tech 3 bikes r gonna start with the same spec as the factory teams or very near it with 2012 being the start of the 1000 , ':)

No point in giving honda a hard time . He has been given more than a fair shot at it with them and it didn't work out unfortunately . Nothing more to say really.

I think this is a very clever move by Dovi, if he does it, all the factory/semi factory bikes at the begining of the year will be very close, however, towards the mid/late season he would have been at least 4th in the pecking order at Honda by then I expect him to be giving Spies a very hard time for 2nd Yamaha. Also once he left the no1 Honda team he was never going to get back in. At Yamaha he has a possible career path to the No1 team. be interesting re the Red Bull/Monster Energy sponsor thing tho!

Good move by Dovi if that is the case.
Honda are a good team but they never really Thankfull to their riders, as with Yamaha they are always thankfull for hard work put in, even Colin Edwards once said Yamaha is a more friendly team to race for than Honda.
With abit of luck Dovi will bring good sponsors with him so full factory support could be part of the deal?
