I think the good thing about this is it puts another fast/ish rider in the Yamaha camp, evening up the numbers with Honda. Though, that is dependent on how close to factory the bike Tech3 can offer.

At least HRC aren't putting up a fight and are releasing him early from his contract, so both the Tech 3 riders will be aboard the new 1000cc M1 at the Valencia test next month. Should be interesting to see how he goes against Sic on the new Honda.

Good for him, nice bloke, solid rider. Also suspect that Yamaha had a say in this as he will bring in some back room knowledge from HRC. They are a little on the back foot after all.

Good move by Dovi, for Yamaha to get him they MUST of promised factory backing.

No way would you want the LCR ride... factory bike or not given their history.

Plenty of intimate knowledge going Yams way as well....particularly rider wise....though that won't help them where Stoner is concerned....Ducati had 4 years and still don't know what he did.
