I remember some other Aussie pulling a huge gap at PI before binning it. Named a corner after him there, they did. Everyone allowed a home race stuff up.

Go Stoner.

I agree with your bold predictions comment Mick, easy to end up with egg on your face. Its the suggestion of team orders that bothers me however.I believe Casey would rather lose the race to a better rider than to win it because his team mates knobbled his nearest opponent.Know what i mean?
And i think most riders would feel the same.If you are going to win a race,do it by yourself using your own skill and judgement.I have never liked the idea of team mates holding other people up in order to benefit the guy at the front. That may sound like old fashioned chivalry, but i believe in winning because you were the best, not because you were "helped" by outside influences.

Good post hoppy.
I didnt mention team orders in an earlier post but that was what i was getting at. I think Pedrosa could and will play a key part at philip island this weekend. Apart from lorenzo hes really the only other rider at the moment who could decide the race outcome. He's been as quick as stoner at some circuits this year and this could be pivotal come race day.
It could all play into danis hands.
Thinking of 2013 perhaps ?
Not sure what the relationship is between stoner and pedrosa.
The way stoner praised Dani for developing the RC212V i thought was a bit of an olive branch ?
Whatever happens, should be interesting to watch how the race develops.

Surely Dovi and Ped. needs to follow Team Orders and take points away from Lorenzo, why risk it to win the cham. on the last race ? haha, even if Stoner wins and Lorenzo ends in 4th, everyone will say it was Team Orders in any case ... Really hope they do Team Orders and get this over and done with, Stoner for the WIN !

Great post there hoppy. Not so much old fashioned chivalry, more like good honest sportsmanship!
I agree completely.Team orders can ruin things.Look at the controvercy that has hit Formula1 over the years with drivers deliberately holding up rivals or indeed deliberately losing places in order to allow his team mate to benefit.I would hate to see this creeping into Motogp. As you say,it is better to be beaten fair and square than to win a race because of outside assistance. The day team orders come into things will be the day i stop watching!

Sure Lorenzo has to go to PI with the intention to beat Stoner: otherwise, he might as well just stay home. But he also knows the race is Stoner's to lose, and that the championship is Stoner's already. But he still has to find motivation and fight even if he knows the fight is pretty much lost.
It must have been very disheartening form him to see from the beginning of the season how the Hondas where a step or two ahed of the M1, and how Yamaha has done no development of the 800 machine at all during season to give Lorenzo a real shot to the title. Maybe next year it will pay back with the 1000cc bike, which seemed really promising at Brno, but all in all this has been a very tough season for Jorge,
Still, if Honda win the title at Malasia they can't be too proud: they have two of the best 4 riders, the strongest bike this season, they've put twice as many works bikes than their rivals on the track, and to win the title with a margin under 50 points? And Lorenzo with his M1 second in t
