" Its not Marquez's fault- the racing line is for racing!!! "

The chequered flag had been thrown for all concerned, therefore riders were coasting (cooling down lap) back to the pits.

A nasty accident that could have been a lot worse in terms of injury's, it wouldn't surprise me if Marquez gets a grid penalty.

A grid penalty? For Carmelo's Golden Child!! Are you crazy. That would be like penalizing Rossi for going off track gaining an advantage and almost running someone off track on his re-entry. Rules like that only apply to the rest or the rest. Not the Chosen Ones.

Once again many critical comments before all the facts are known. Marquez has been given a one minute grid penalty which puts him at the back of the grid whatever happens in QP.

Alzamora is appealing to the stewards stating that even though the chequered flag was out Marquez is on his last flying lap and so has a right to be racing. If he last passed the finish line previous to the chequered flag being waved that is indeed correct. Watch qualifying tomorrow and you will see the chequered flag out but riders still allowed to finish the lap they are on.

Posters stating that as soon as the flag is out everybody has to slow down are incorrect. I'm not saying Marquez is faultless, lets just get facts straight before judging.

@ Jack

Marquez crossed the startline before the checkered flag was waived entitling him to finish his lap. Watch qualifying tomorrow, it works the same.

I'm going to say however it was a poor call by marquez to go out on a flying lap with less than a minute remaining but a cool down can also be done on the side of the track, so both are to blame in my opinion.
