MotoGP » '800cc king' Stoner: I'll enjoy 1000cc more

"With more power I feel a lot more comfortable. I'm just really looking forward to the 1000s. It'll be easier to slide and I think at a lot of circuits it's going to be a lot more fun" – Casey Stoner.

Not taking anything away from any of the 800 Champions but I cant wait for the return of the 1000's. Its really tough to overtake on the 800's and that has ruined the racing for me in the last few years.
I wonder if Valentino will start winning again next year??....

Why didn't they keep the 990's all along and just mandate a minimum Frontal Area (aerodynamic) to limit the top speed. It is not rocket science .....well, it is.

A minimum frontal area could come under the guise of an allowance for the sizes of different riders.

Congrats to Casey as he's been truly on top of his game this season. Really looking forward to next year though! This year has been a bit of a snoozer. Ive had more fun watching Moto2 to be honest. Here's hoping the new engine formula will make the racing at the front a bit more enjoyable to watch, and the CRT teams should make the midfield racing better too.
