Have been expecting this since the end of qually.

Ben Spies doesn't qualify in 16th place. Period. The only conclusion could be that he hasn't recovered enough to ride properly, and if he hasn't recovered properly from a concussion, he shouldn't be out there.

Get well soon Ben, hope he's back for Valencia.

5th or 6th in the final standings is pretty much no difference so Ben Spies should recover fully and not risk a more serious injury. Hopefully with 2 weeks rest he will be back close to full fitness. His place in the team is secure and I am sure his team, although disappointed agrees with the decision.

Good decision could be worse, could be Rossi. Fighting fit at the back of a grid on a bike negotiable of winning.
