In view of statements suggesting rossi is too emotional to make an official statement, i see this as a corporate response protecting share values and sponsorship interests . nothing more. I seriously doubt rossis clear enough in his mind at the moment
to be clear on anything. would anyone be if theyd just lost someone they felt was nearer family than friend in such a tragic manner !!

These thoughts would be at the back of his mind at the moment, give the man some time away from the public eye to grieve properly. His good friend just died and he was involved - he's gotta be 5shades of messed up

I have not read all the comments like usual. But I hope for 1 thing, Rossi wins a championship on the ducati for #58 before he retires. RIP #58.

The passing of Marco is incredibly sad but our thoughts must also be with Colin and Vale who will continue to suffer from this unfortunate accident.
There will be an investigation into the accident and what caused Marco's death.
If anyone is to retire from racing well I think the results of the investigation will trigger that.
It is good that the season is all but finished but for Colin and Vale who I think need to be kept busy riding as much as possible.
I hope they both continue riding in Moto GP for many years to come.

I hope the only retirement to be announced, is the racing number 58 from MotoGP.
It would also be fitting to keep position 1 on the grid at Valencia, free in honour of Marco Simoncelli, regardless of who qualifies fastest.

RIP Marco Simoncelli.

lets get this in perspective !one man has died,2 others can only be described as going through a living hell.nobody can apreciate how they feel unless you have been in a similar situation.if they decide to retire who am i to judge ! remember this is one of rossi's best friends we are talking about.RIP #58.
