Valencia is going to be the saddest, most sombre race meeting for a very long time. Marco gone, no Aoyama, no Edwards, possibly no Lorenzo, and with Spies & Barbera still riding injured. The sport has taken its toll this year.

Hopefully they'll find a way to make the event a fitting tribute to #58.

I think it might be better cancelling the event as there won't be much of a grid (and I think most of the field and fans are still in shock, Kato was bad enough but we didn't really see it this was live for all to see, Valencia is usually a big party atmosphere, I just don't see anybody even wanting to go):
Lorenzo - Out (hand injury)
Spies - Doubtful (back injury)
Simo - RIP (terrible)
Hero - Withdrawn (the right thing to do)
Colin - Shoulder Injury
Barbera - Unknown (bashed and bruised)

Dorna will be lucky to make double figures and that's if nothing else happens in practice of qualifying

I think Gresini should be at Valencia to let fans show their respect to Marco and to his meomory. The bike should on the tarmac, because Sic would have wanted it i think.

For all of us who enjoyed the races with him, give us a chance to honor him.

Lucky for the championship contenders in all three classes, nobody clinched a championship yesterday, one having already been decided, of course. I don't think anybody would want their championship winning day be marred by such a tragedy. Valencia will have two championships decided, but I don't think anybody will be celebrating much.

According to a quote reported on GPone, it sounds as though Colin might have broken both wrists and his left heel too. Barbera is still struggling with pain and discomfort from a broken collarbone. There are a lot of injured riders right now.
