This is great news for the sport, I say that in the greatest respect for Marco. Im sure Marcow ould of wanted Vale to continue. Vale will be far more determined to win the championship for Marco.

I certainly hope he doesn't quit, to lose 2 great talents and 2 of the biggest characters from moto gp would be a disaster. I am a big Simoncelli fan and it was tragic to see events unfold on sunday but as the saying goes "life goes on" even if everyone quits it won't bring Marco back.
I can't even begin to imagine how Valentino is feeling having been involved in the accident that killed his friend, but quitting is not the answer

Rossi comes across as a joker but he's as tough as they come. Great news, no one would have blamed him for walking away from the sport.

What was that idiotic comment from Parrish the other day about rossi being 'too old and too rich'? Suck my balls Steve.

You have to wonder what is really going through Rossi's head right now... Is he trying to block it all out? Is he just telling himself that its just apart of racing? He hasnt really shown alot of emotion about the whole incident, publicly anyway. Maybe he's scared the media will start to blame him or the fans will act negatively toward him. I dont know.. maybe we will see a new side to Rossi now, one that we havent seen before..

@ 58,Thanks for the info, will do that now!

I did think for a few minutes that Valentino might consider quiting, but given the fact that they all put their lives on the line every time they race, I dismissed it just as quickly!! Not that he needs it, but I think this will give Valentino more determination to win - he will have his friend inside his head and his heart urging him to !!!
