Dani is trying to do what he feels is right so respect to him for that. Whatever happened between him and Marco in the past doesn't really matter now does it? Lets not forget these guys live in a fiercely competitive world where it must be very difficult to remain the best of buddies with your rivals. Think people should cut him a bit of slack TBH.

i think that dani is on of the most professional riders in terms of media comments & job focus.

he also comes in for the most criticism from the fans

it's hard to imagine that any of his expressed sentiments are in any way false, because (as prev stated) he seems to be a private person, ergo when he does speak he probably means it

this article suggests that dani "hope(s) the fans show their respect"

that means us, that means now

can we try to do this please?

I read in various online editions of newspapers that Alberto Puig (for those who don't know, Dani's manager) went to Marco's funeral although Puig was his harshest critic, he had even harder words for Marco than Dani after the Le Mans incident, so this shows that, in death, rivalries do not count anymore.

Jlo and Dani totally vindicated and have no reason to apologise for what they said about simoncelli. they criticised him when he was alive, not when he died. so all good to me.

To all those criticising Pedrosa to not shaking Simoncelli's hand: this isn't kindergarten. These guys try their best to beat each other and as a result a certain amount of distance builds up. Moto gp aint about makign friends! But that's not to say they don't respect each other. You really think DP doesn't feel terrible about the whole incident? Cut the guy some slack
