Its a pity Ellison rode for Tech 3 when they had second rate machinery.
If the "rumour" is true then its not surprising he is connected with Birdy as they are from the same neck of the woods. He might just be there for company ????!!

I definately think Ellison has talent but Paul Bird is just doing this cause Kawasaki gave him the ****. Even if he gets this project off the ground it will be a joke at best. Paul Bird struggled in WSBK with a very good bike, Ellison should look elsewhere.

i think bird prob has others in mind but with camier signing for crescent and other top young brits already in top teams in wsb,i dont see many young brits wanting to be a guinie pig running round at the back would be a backward step for some, i hope birdy does well and its a success as he deserves it,dont see any other brits doing what he does for motorcycle racing

you couldnt blame ellison if its true for going for this as lets be honest its the pinnacle of racing and he wont get many opportunities like this at this stage of his career, and there arent many wsb options left really so it would be bsb or moto gp paddock with good back from bird! not a bad option to have, but then it is just rumours

Ellison is one of the most underrated riders out there IMHO, he always punches above his weight in terms of equipment as he proved this year in BSB. Given the great job he did on Poncharals bike on Dunlops he would be ideal for a CRT team finding their way. Remember he went very well for WCM in a similar situation. If he gets the gig Im almost praying for rain at Silverstone next June - even though I will be stood in it getting soaked!

ps I dont know him and am not related

If he has the chance he will take it, he has past history of doing just that. First with the ill-fated WCM bike in the 990 days and the following year with Tech3 on an outdated chassis running Dunlops when the top boys were using Michelins. Even though he had rubbish rides he did OK. He finished 2nd in BSB to Leon Camier after which he came back from a broken femur (not his fault) to show well. This year he's been absolutely amazing in both BSB and WSS where he's been pushing for podiums. Next year CRT will be a bit of a lottery and who knows who will be at the top, but for my money Ellison will be a very good guy to have on your team. Good luck to you, James, I hope is tue and you do well.

i'm sorry but i have to say this. Why is it people always moan and say give the young ones a chance. MOTO GP is the highest "league" to be in, the brits who show there true tallent move up the ranks do you really want a 19 year old flying round on a gp bike and does this mean that those riders over 25 should retire? moto gp costs alot of money and there not just going to give someone a chance they want experience and ellison has it

ellison amazing in bsb wss, for fack sake get a brain,in WSS laverty and crutchlow tore the field to shreds winning races, ellison WAS AMAZING PUSHING FOR PODIUMS,(i dont get it ) the boys not good enough for any world grid, just face it,some guys are bsb level and thats it,theres no shame in that, just a fact
