Big shame about the first corner incident as I believe all 3 Ducs would have been right at the sharp end... a Vale podium would surely have been a fantastic and fitting end to the season, but nevermind, let him honour Sic by making the 1000cc Duc work! Forza Vale!

@ "but nevermind, let him honour Sic by making the 1000cc Duc work! Forza Vale!"
WHAT!!!!
What are you talking about. What has Sic got to do with what Rossi or Ducati do next year????
This trying to tie Simocelli into everything is getting saaader. If Rossi manages to get himself and the new Duc working it will not have anything to with Simmocelli. He will be doing it for himself and Ducati. Somehow Valentino is honoring sic by doing his job next year as he would have anyway?????? Emotional melodramatic hollywood tripe. These guys are hardheaded competitors. They dont need or want anyone to die in a tragic accident to do their jobs.

Actually marky69 the first half of your post is just as mad "Big shame about the first corner incident as I believe all 3 Ducs would have been right at the sharp end... a Vale podium would surely have been a fantastic and fitting end to the season, but "
In what alternate universe would the Ducatis have been at the sharp end? Unless by the sharp end you mean sixth to eigth. Geez why do I bother. Actually these posts are why I guess. Exploring the alternate universe in some peoples minds is quite interesting. Absolutte refusal to accept reality.

"We finish the season tied with Sic, with him ahead of me in the standings. I guess that's my tribute to him!”

Tribute is a gift, compliment given as a due or acknowledgment of gratitude or esteem.
Rossi was forced out of the race by Bautista's mistake. Now I wonder if this was Bautista's tribute, hmmm.

Now, if he chose not to take part in the race to let Simoncelli keep the 6th, it would've been a tribute. But, he didn't.

Hypocracy you have put you finger on it very well. I hope that this was just Vale running off his mouth without thinking about what he was saying. If he had thought about it he would have realised what a load of bs it was. You could say it was a very cynical comment trying to get some good pr from sics tragedy. However I dont think so. Rossi has just babbled some over-emotional soppy bs on the spur of the moment and it should not be given any real weight.

Come on guys give the guy a break he's had a tough year that no one should go through and a lot of you decide to pick out every small thing he says and turn it against him. He probably jokingly said 6th is his tribute because he couldn't pay him a full tribute because he was taken out. I massively dislike Stoner and I don't go about b1tching about him. Today was about remembering Marco don't ruin it by bickering about what Rossi says and does, he's had a tough time and even he deserves some luck. Give the poor guy a bloody break!
