dovi must have gone back into the pit....his laps are constant for a while now..i am sure he will beat cal...

the point is, seeing his performance after 16 laps, he is 9 tenths off rossi...

and the ducati is the bike in the bad condition currently...so once its made good, it will surely be faster....

that may mean dovi will be another mid pack guy and fight with hector, etc next year......

i hope rossi and nicky manage to take the place of dovi and simo ( at least ) next year...else its gonna get super boring....

Why just Ducati, how about hope Suzuki are up there as well? Looking at times they are still 1 second back... Oh well, just Honda and Yamaha up front dicing, should be good.

When was the last vintage season?

Normal service resumed.
Stoner just gone fastest within 3/10 of his best time on Sunday ..1:32.876.
They are only testing but the last 15 minutes tomorrow will be soft tyres just for bragging rights.

@ammar and rest

Dovi is on the 800 at present to get a direct feel and comparison with his old Honda.

See how he does when he gets on the 1000.

@ Ronny & Ammar

Dovi has also been a Honda rider for the last 3years (Motogp). Surely he's allowed a day to acclimatise with the Yam? (Rossi's had a whole year with the Duc... :D)

Cheap shot, sorry.

This session is pretty much meaningless, you could say about Valencia test as a whole.

Real end product will reflect when they test in Sepang next year.

Here's a hoping we see closer and exciting racing next season

From MCN

He will make his Yamaha 1000cc debut at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit tomorrow (Tuesday) and he believes his smooth riding style will be more suited to the YZR-M1 after he ended his career long association with Honda to move to Herve Poncharal's squad.

The former 125GP world champion told MCN: “I am soft and smooth and I don't pick up the bike enough to use the potential of the Honda like Casey (Stoner) and Dani.

"I have to try and be faster in the middle of the corner and it looks like to be fast with Yamaha you have to brake harder and it looks like they have more stability than us (Honda) to keep a high speed on exit.

"It looks like this is a smooth engine. Sure it has less power but it is perhaps a little easier to control.”

@Ammar

From AziFarni's (BBC and Dorna Reporter) twitter feed, she posted a picture of both the 800 and 1000 Dovi is riding and said his trying the 800 first.
