MotoGP » Rossi: Not bad for a first taste...

"The engine seems to be pretty good already... On the other hand, I'm a little slower in mid-corner, and we also have to try to improve rear grip " – Valentino Rossi.

@bri t maybe I'm being a bit too hard on Rossi and expected too much from him this season and strated to blame him for too much like the haters. If the bike is going to go through a lot of changes before the next race then I hope they can get a good package out of what the can fix. Next year is the make or break season... I hope the former. Go Vale I'm behind you!!

Not talking about Rossi.

I'm a Ducati fan not a Rossi fan.

The switch to a twin spar style aluminium frame in the same week they unveil the new 1199 Panagale roadbike that uses the frameless design is bad for Ducati.
Their bike image has taken a hit.

MotoGP isn't helping. They need to return to WSBK with a factory team to undo the damage 2011 has done and 2012 will most likely do.

I bet you $100 you are wrong. Did Ducati sales make a jump in 2007 when Stoner won? NO. Did Ducati sales make a jump when Baylis won? NO. Ducati bikes are bought by elitist snobs who only worry about how their peers lust after the brand. That is all. Everybody knows that apart from dedicated racers and the snobs that buy them with their matching leathers.

Any regular road biker knows this!

I admit I am a Rossi fan, but what fan of racing would not want to see his bike improve and watching some good head to head battles as opposed to one rider taking off into the sunset? The last few years, what races did everyone like? the super close ones like rossi/stoner in laguna seca or the rossi/lorenzo battles. Imagine Lorenzo, stoner, rossi fighting to the last lap? and throw in spies, hayden and pedrobot?! So many people have talked about the great racing in Moto 2 over the last couple of years, who would not want to see this? Would I have prefered Spies beat stoner in Valencia? Absolutely, but I was still excited and it was fun to watch. Here is to hoping that ducati is not 1.6 seconds off the hondas and to great battles next year and most importantly a SAFE season!

@knob-be-you - "So why did Casey only win by a fraction of a second when he won by several seconds at previous sessions."

Um ... because it rained and he gave up the 10 second advantage that has was managing?

The new frame has not put Ducati at the front because the old frame was not what was keeping them mid field.

Mind you it will take more time to get it up to speed but the opposition will improve as much if not more.:)

only rossi can do this to ducati...

or this just a test from Filippo Preziosi to all ducati rider, he want to see the diferent between japanesse twin spar and "his" frameless stressed engine...
maybe he(preziozi) will make hybrid frame, combining twin spar and stressed engine for 2012... who knows...
