also...

some of you need to get realistic regarding the CRT's

call them backmarkers all you want, but its not the bike/concepts fault. there simply isnt enough gp qualified riders to fill a 20 man grid much less 30. put the CRT riders on factory worx spec bikes and their results would be the same.

dont blame the CRT concept. even if it is stupid.

@Don-R

"With the new Bridgestones and the factory spec bike, he's set to have a much stronger year in 2012"

This part of your post caught my eye. Are you saying that Crutchlow will be on a factory Yamaha, not a satellite Yamaha, in 2012?

What about Dovi?

Cheers.

Cals crew chief went on record as saying prior to the tests that the torque of the new bikes would really suit cals naturel riding style as he has struggled all season with mid corner speed loading on the bstone front tyres he said this will not be an issue on the thousands so cal can revert back to running in hard turning it quick and fireing it out on the big torquey 1000s . this and the new bstone front compounds developed for the torquier heavier engines with softer side walls ,he said, would be closer in feel to the pirellis call used in superbike than hes previously had with the bstone tyres... looks like he wasnt far wrong !! .7 off first time on it. .2 off ben (2nd time on it)who i believe will be really strongnext year , is a vgood start indeed. but you have to believe the new confidence casey has hes happy to hold his cards close to his chest,see where everybody else is and just test everything in the van before we see his real speed !

It is still early and been 1.6 off the pace with a brand new machine. It is not so bad after all.
But knowing Rossi if you have been following the MotoGP for more than one year.
You will know that even if Rossi was faster he would not have given the right times. He hold on his time in 2004 as he did not want to show is hand too early.
I do not think it is the case here. But equally do you know which tyres the hondas were running? Do you know which map setting?
So for you and for me (and BillA**e don't pretend your are an insider) the information is as precious as the time they took to time it. It is totally worthless. At best it is purely speculations.

Crutchlow is on a satellite bike but at this stage it won't be too far from the factory one. Also, as someone said, the construction of the new tires are softer and that can make a big difference to front end feel.

JIMMY For the most part we are lead to believe the satellite yamahas will be (ecu aside) the same as the factory 1000s to begin with. its there development programmes that wont. so expect more difference as the season progresses. but i wouldnt be suprised , due to dovis involvement this year, to see the tech 3 boys getting more assistance than usual..now that theyre in a development race with honda,on a new format,they have an ex hrd factory rider ,i cant see them wasting the oppertunity and the (dovis)imput ..
