To all the casey stoner bashers, enjoy watching him next year,as it may be the last year he races,as dorna are pushing the crt agenda, and if they do, the end of prototype bikes is near.Go to eurosport.com, Casey threatens to retire. very interesting, also spies not happy.cheers

wouldnt that be cool if casey left? just packed up and said goodbye since he hates CRTs that much while he is on the very top of his game. His name would be legend for that. I'd laugh so hard.

Considering Casey didn't improve his time all afternoon really, I doubt he was doing hot laps, as he usually at least improves on his own times late on. But (Not physically watching) weather conditions could've changed, or he could've set down to some serious data capturing.

Only they really know.

Ben was not looking bad though, and actually quite impressive from Cal.
Hopefully things only get better from here.

100% Correct. It always happens. You'll tell them the excuse is utter cr@p and they'll burst out in a frenzy, going on about the Rossi hate... Do they honestly think Ducati would waste their time and money running around the track for two days at an average pace just to make the competition think they're slower than they really are? (as I rate a two day test doesn't come cheap, and granted the limited testing opportunities, they should seize every possible moment)

As far as the CRT's are concerned, I wouldn't judge this group TOO harshly. It was their first time out. Would've been interesting to see the MarcVDS team a third time, as they made considerable improvements from their first test to their second (from 6sec behind the 800cc to 4sec behind the 1000cc). I expect BQR and Grellini to make similar gains.

For those beating up the CRT teams...Dorna needed to do something to get the grid full!!!! watching 16 bikes or less and seeing the same four riders run away with it,and then get spread out like F1 is getting to be boring to watch...Casey is pissed because in 2013 the Factory money teams wont control everything...he might have some competition come along!!!!!!

I think people are missing the point with the new CRT bikes. Their purpose isn't to seriously race the current factory prototypes, but to serve as a vanguard for 2013 when all bikes should be CRT. Personally I think this is excellent as I am hoping this will bring some much needed racing into MotoGP. BSB has also made similar moves and I'm all for it.
