i dont know why people think the move to 1000cc's will make it easier for the WSB boys? It didnt when it was 990cc's so why should it now? the only rider to have made a successful port from Supers to motogp is Hayden followed by Edwards (maybe).

For those who believe that Dovi is a threat to Spies perhaps you should think about this, Dovi and Cal are NOT a Yamaha contracted riders! What this means is that with the exception of maybe a single minor update mid year, the bike they start with will be the one they finish with. Their bikes will not be even to those of the factory mounts to begin with, and they will only fall further behind as the season progresses. Dovi brought no sponsors or money, only his big contract to the team. Sorry but that is the reality of the situation. His only real hope is that Honda signs Spies and opens up the seat, otherwise he has rode his last factory mount.

Thanks for the feedback. It will be sad Tech 3 don't get more technical support from Yamaha because they are going to need it. I think Spies will stick with Yamaha for a very long time. And was Spies a contracted rider for Yamaha when he joined Tech 3? He did get quite a bit of support from Yamaha during his time at Tech 3.

"the fact the braking distances will increase massively on the 1000,s"

I think the word your looking for is "slightly"

Don't for one minute think riders will be overtaking ding dong on the brakes, because unless someone has a significant straight line speed advantage, they won't.

...gonna be a blast to see the new world order as not all will come to grips with the extra horsepower
..looks like this is just what Cal needed, more power!

dont get to excited... i really dont expect cal to be anywhere near Dovi in a race, it was dovis first time on a yamaha and he rode the 800 first so they must handle similar or that would have just been a huge waste of time, we all know cal is good at putting in a fast lap but Dovi is more consistant by far.

i know im horrible and a hater get over it
