I believe he should be running at the front of the CRT teams with the Aprilia and the right chassis...be nice to see him mixing it up with Edwards...Also with the right package could be up on the backs of the existing riders from this year..GOOD LUCK JAMES...looking forward to 2012

No one can convince me this guy is any good . Dont get me wrong he's not awfull but he hasnt achieved much . And he's been around a while now. Paul Bird is great for our sport and has a real passion but sometimes even the best make the wrong signings.

Yes, he's been around for a while, and on lots of different machines. Which is exactly what you'd want in a rider who could help to develop the bike. No point putting some hotshot kid on it who's going to either do well or bin it and not know why. CRT teams need guys with good experience, and Ellison is a smart choice IMHO.

Perfect man for the job. Still very smooth and fast, with more diverse experience than any other rider in the paddock. In a way would have liked to see him have a crack at the BSB crown (HM Plant, maybe), but I suppose too good an opportunity for him.

On another front, excellent news for me personally - Mrs IOM will now have an incentive to watch MotoGP!
