No numbers should be retired they belong to the next generation of riders.

Only numbers that should be are like simo 58 but only for a generation, 10 years perhaps then it can be used again

By using the number again, it makes a hole new generation learn about the last 58, his story and so on .

No numbers should be 'retired' and riders should go back to the system of the using the number of where the placed in last years championship. Riders used to take prise in having a number in the top ten.
Number 65 means theres 64 riders faster than you :-)
