As one of the many people who have recklessly t-boned someone else into turn 1 at Pembrey with an overly ambitious attempted overtake (lunge!) I think grand prix racing there would be far more interesting.

Can you imagine 35 Moto2 bikes heading into turn 1 at Pembrey? Carnage! :-D

Living near to the location that is "rumoured" to be used and also knowing how the local authorities work here I can safely say "No Chance".

There would be more chance of Bernie having a race on the moon.

It laughable. the road infrastructure cant handle the locals yet alone the demand that would be put on it if this actually happened. 200 million...ha the welsh assembly wont spend half of that for an M4 relief. If I rang the BBC and said that i was going to arrange a street circuit in Cardiff for F1 but had no planning, backing and picked a figure of 2 million from the air BBC Wales would report it.

Oli,

Been there done that ...MiniTwins a few years back...apparently....I woke with Doc Rosie sorting me out. I think we can safely discount Pembrey, even though it is a great track. The road to it is bad enough for a club meeting.

Moto GP in Wales. No chance. The commercial negotiations themselves would be a minefield.

'There would be more chance of Bernie having a race on the moon.'

I'm not sure if you're saying this is likely or not. I mean all it would take would be for bernie to arrange transportation for herman tilke and a few million pound backhander from somewhere and we'd be going in 2013.
