Even though he had more crashes in his entire life, the worst results in his career ever, 1 podium finish and an absolute sh-t time - he still managed 7th place !!! Valentino !!!

@ McLarenP ,you conveniently overlooked one more thing of Vale's stellar season in that he took Casey out and thus stopped him from being on the podium every race, chugalug

@ soc67 - You have it wrong - I didn't "conveniently overlook" anything!! Let's just see if Casey can actually defend his championship as he couldn't the last time and neither could anybody else! Only person that can do it - Valentino !!!!!!

Sure McLarenP,just like he,(Rossi) defended his 2009 championship against his erstwhile team mate 2010.
HAH HAH !!
Next time Rossi wins a race for Ducati will be his first time LOL !!!!!
Put your money where your mouth is for 2012 and refrain from blaming Ducati.

err "defend his title" is just as ridiculous of a saying as "a rider develops a bike". Casey won't be "defending" anything. If the Honda is as good next year as it is this year (in comparison to the others on the grid) than he'll simply continue winning,, that's a no-brainer. The only real question is how close will team Yamaha be to the Hondas again. I doubt that there are any knowledgeable people out there who really think that Ducati will mysteriously bring a competitive bike to the grid in 2012. We'll leave that rant to the fanchilds. Ducati is the new Suzuki and we need a Suzuki, don't we

i hate casey stoner, but hell he has rode amazing, thats why i hate him cos he so bloody quick, compared to pedrosa on the same machine, even though dani will say he was injured but hell no, stoner to bloody fast, fearless and riding at a level and a limit that no one can touch, im a rossi fan and have been for years but cannot take away for 1 second how well stoner has riden

Totally agree with you fordy998 (apart from the part about hating Stoner). No matter what people say, this year has been Casey's year and that cannot be taken away from him. So stop saying "he won't repeat it next year" and that "Rossi has had a poor bike". That is all irrelevant to the question of: Who was the best rider? Rossi failed to win a race the entire year or stay on the bike for the majority of the year. You have to stay on the bike, be consistent and win races to be the best rider. Casey did all those things this year better than anyone else.
