@Lc Tanner. You're a strange chap. Your tag is a clever word play on the classic 350lc and a very infamous character from Coronation street. I hope you're meant to be the 350lc and not the sadly passed sour faced old Lady that Elsie Tanner was.

You mustn't assume that people who don't bow down to your beloved Idol have to be children or youngsters as most "Casual" Rossi fans are Women and Children. Something to do with "character and personality" rather than as proved last year by results on track.

Sic was doing a fantastic job, with a passion and aggression missing from the scene the last couple of years, until he had obviousley had a word in his ear. I am sure he wouldnt want the sympathy vote, but he did begin to liven up an overall relatively dull racing year. Bautista has really pulled the stops out, and deserves a podium poll finish.
The real star of the season, has to be the Moto 2 races

My vote goes to Jorge. Grew up this year and showed mettle despite knowing that at just about every track he had an almost insurmountable deficit to overcome. Stoner the best of the Hondas. Hondas dominated as the stats show. Why did Stoner dominate and the other Repsol riders not. Well Dovi did better than any previous season and was never a WC contender and Pedro despite being out for 3 races still made 4th. Stoner rode very well, on the best bike. Equally, I thought his statement upon winning and alluding to people asserting he had an advantage on the Ducati in 2007 was rathing telling in that it hinted that subconciously he knows it to. Results generally indicate the level of the playing field. I know many will simply say it was Stoner, I don't believe just as I didn't in 2007. Good timing by Stoner.

As for Rossi very uninspiring and I will happily admit that. There are reasons for that but his rep has taken a hit. But:
1. From best handling bike to worst that would take some time to get used to (as opposed to the other direction for Stoner)
2. Two extra Factory hondas which means Rossi's 6th compared to 4th last year is probably pretty much what would have occurred under Stoner as he would have won less I am certain and crashed more with basically teh same points outcome).
3. Hopefully the knowledgable ones can agree that the Bridgestones this year have been pretty ordinary
4. The Duc is a dog and has flatlined since 2007 and results show this
5. Stoner could ride the Duc in such a way that no one else can including Rossi, however, even he could not make it a WC winning machine.

Pretty standard Rossi fanboy stuff, ignore the bleeding obvious in favour of dodgey logic, crackpot theories and selective stats.

lol @ Southerner. Spies has two good races and he places him in third place. Last I looked Ben Spies finished in 5th, 35 points behind a guy that was knocked out of 4 races and injured for at least 2 more. Given Ben is riding for the same team that took the triple the last few years, thats not that great. Sure Yamaha didnt bump up their game to match Honda's resurgence last year, but Ben should have settled in to 4th comfortably, instead he finished 2 places behind Honda's 3rd wheel, Ben needs to do better than that next year if he wants to keep that factory ride. Im hoping Movie Star lease a couple factory Honda's or Yamaha up their game other wise Repsol will be destroying the rest of the field next year, w/ Dani leading more than his fair share of the way. I would rate the top 7 guys in the order they finished this year, with maybe an honorable mention to Nicky Hayden, whose had to slow down in order to absorb Ducati's lackluster engineering effort.
