Exactly mike, stoner was reportedly able to do a 1.36 when he tested the 1000cc honda earlier this yr. If thats the current benchmark for lap times(and i believe both Lorenzo nd Pedrosa would be able to match that)CRT's are miles away and won't challenge anything but themselves until the rules change again in 2013

So many contributors bagging out crt teams.What other model for MotoGP racing do you propose,bearing in mind that the Factories refuse to supply sufficent bikes at a reasonable cost? Theres no more than 4 or 5 riders in the world able to ride with a chance of winning so would a 5 rider race be better in your mind?? Crt may not perhaps be ideal but one way or another the costs must be reduced!!

CRT race should be 3 laps shorter, otherwise there be some major overtaking right at the critical end of the real motogp race. could result in disaster! I hope not though

@beamer
I wasnt bagging CRT's - im looking forward to seeing them on the grid. I'm not deluded as to how they'll go though. There'll be a 12 bike race at the front(4 hondas, 4 yamahas and 4 ducatis) and then the CRTs at the back. The real cost saving will come in 2013 if they bring in a spec ecu, eliminating the expensive fancy electronics
