@ aaa, This is exactly what we should be seeing in MotoGP!! Also, what about Ben Wilson and Alistair Seeley!! MotoGP is supposed to be the ultimate, but you have to agree, it is sadly lacking these days!!

Totally agree that the racing is lacking and it has been for years, in my opinion since the KS, WR, EL, MD era.

That was awesome as well, Felt sorry for Ben but he should have settled for points in earlier rounds but pushed too hard at critical times. But fair play to him he went for it every race.

F1 had the same problem, think CRT is from Bernie and Carmelo enjoying a close relationship, have less manufacturer power, dum down the tech for the good of better racing.

Story after story about this has been / never was GOAT while Casey probably is just relaxing at home fishing and having the occasional barbie.
It gets clicks and sells t-shirts and that is all.

I now hope the prototypes go away just so we can get rid of Stoner!

But seriously, if he thinks those CRT bikes are not prototypes then I don't think he has a clue what the differences are, even though he's the fastest man on such 2 wheel machines.

Yawn.

You guys are actually talking about selling "merchandise". Really?? What does that have to do with bike racing or what is currently happening on the track? Justin Beieber is popular and sells a boat load of merchandise too so I guess that makes him the best singer/performer too huh? Jeez.

“I think if we kill prototypes then we may as well be racing touring cars, It's no different to this. It'll definitely take everything out of the racing for me,”

Racers obviously want to stay on top once they get there but I think it a bit of a selfish view to say something like this. Rossi understands that the sport is facing hard financial times ahead and that the current pace of spending has already taken its toll on the sport due to machinery costs , development, staffing, transport, promotion, and rider salaries. A more cost effective measure is needed and CRT's provide a reasonable measure of relief and could be quite a competitive alternative where rider skills and not just dominant equipment could determine a championship winner. Its also a measure that would not punish the manufacturer as CRT's are "prototypes" in their own right anyway.

Theres a saying that goes, think globally not locally hence look at the bigger picture Casey. Its the sport that defines the man not the m
