“It's clear that we must use less expensive bikes and if this is the only way I wouldn't have problems riding a CRT”

Ya, the Rossi vs. Stoner fan bashing is getting a little old already. I'm a little disappointed in Casey's bad attitude about CRT's. I personally believe Casey would still be winning no matter what the format. As a racing fan I'm only interested in competition between the world's best, not technology. If I were Casey, I'd say "bring it on! I'll win on anything, anytime, anywhere!" And he probably would!

VR wouldn't be saying this if he were winning,, or on a bike capable of winning.. Since those 2 things won't happen again, (like I have always said since he left team blue) he is praying that the factories disappear and everyone is on a home-made CRT machine. Then some delusional sponsor will pump millions into some "unobtanium" ubersbike for him to ride,,, then discovering that because of his age, VR's winning days are done. Turn the freaking page already! It's a StonerLorenzoPedrosa world with an IanoneMarquezBradl party coming to join. Everyone else is just in the way. At least we have WSBK,,
,,,and the hits just keep on coming.

re: "why is it that every time there is a story on here that happens to mention rossi and stoner more than half the comments aren't about the story but people bitching to each other about who their favourite is and why the other one is rubbish?"

'cause basically we're wacked out of our minds.

@JC Racing
"People keep comparing Rossi's achievements in 16 years of racing to Stoner's 6."

Rossi have 16 seasons total, Stoner have 10 seasons, not 6.

And i wasn't comparing the 2, i was just explainning why rossi is consider 1 of the greatest of all time

Good luck Vale 2012 prototype,CRT 2013 and beyond.
Have a good one. The shambolic performance 2011 with Ducati just re-emphasises the fact that everyone has their 'sell by date'.
As for GP prototype vs CRT, time will tell.
Notably Tissot timing and Sepang 31st Jan 2012.
Rossi,as a factory GP prototype rider should focus on that and shut up about the long term future of the format.
Rider factors include Stoner/Lorenzo/Pedrosa/Spies and Hayden within HIS category which is Factory prototype 2012.
That area should be his focus right now,not CRT.

CRT =
current circuit/s fastest lap,no change
circuit best lap, no change
fastest qualifing lap, no change
winning overall time, inferior to past

Technology and advancment is a major part of the interest, and a major part of the entertainment for myself.
Why did man go to the moon? Why does man whant to go faster?
CRT = pop can culture

@LCtanner
Yes what it says about one is he will grasp any publicity and will try anything to believe he still can cut it at the top.
Meanwhile the other is on holidays.
