No doubt the rossi fanbois will vote en mass that VR is rider of the year, despite not being able to do jack on a bike stoner won multiple races on.

Not even in the top 3, maybe even 5, in my opinion.

Stoner obviously, and he dominated so convincingly , and it wasnt like thing all went his way - jerez knocked down , misano drained, motegi tank slapper , and yet he still smashed everyone, and then there is that riding style , im afraid he will run away with it even more next year ... and the next year ... and the next , by then rossi will have retired and hope marquez or some new up and comer will challenge him

no doubt it's casey, most point, most win, most fastest lap, most pole, perfect podium if not rossi knock him out at jerez so, casey perfect score and nobody else.

Stats don't and never did tell the whole story. Much to ponder before awarding any score to any rider.Variables like age, injury, kit, rotten luck,1thousandth of one second, sponsorship or lack thereof, team and bike knowledge, rookie etc. Hope y'all factor these issues in before you vote 10 or 1.
No matter the angle,Stoner tops it 2011.
Lorenzo,a whisker back.Dovi and Spies get a nod ahead of the rest in my book.Bautista gets a 7 along with the late Simmo.
I don't give any rider less than 5. If I did they would not be in GP in the first place.
Dani,a high 8.His 2011 season was wrecked in part by his own hand as far as I'm concerned.

Don't forget Lorenzo. I promise he'll be back fighting Casey every step of the way and could even win another championship in the next couple years. IMO Casey and Jorge stand alone as the the very best in the world. Way too soon to think Marquez will have an answer for these guys

My personal rankings

Pedrosa, Dovioso, Simoncelli, and Spies-8
RDP, and Bautista-7
Hayden, Vale, Edwards -6
Abraham,Crutchlow -5

2012 will be a telling year. Suzuki joins a long list of manufacturers who once held Moto racing greatness in hand. Yamaha is (for the moment anyway) still unsponsored for 2011. Ducati seems to be in a state of schizophrenia at the moment. Honda will of course be Honda. CRT's are set to fill out the back half of the grid barring weather or? But I really don't see the list above (save for Simo)looking too much different after the 2012 season final. Dovi moving to a Sat bike may shuffle that 8 for a 7 or? For me the ones I have the highest expectations for are Spies and Bautista.

We'll see.

This is old news now, I'm bored. here's some 2012 predictions. Standings:1st stoner(8 wins), 2nd lorenzo(5 wins), 3rd spies (2 wins), 4th pedrosa (3 wins), 5th rossi, 6th hayden, 7th bautista, 8th dovi,9th crutchlow, 10th bradyl, 11th barbera. Biggest disappointments: rossi/bautista. Fastest CRT rider:RDP. Highest placing/most consistent CRT: edwards. Biggest lap time improvements : Spies,Hayden,Crutchlow. Stoner wins Qatar and never looks back, lorenzo incredible as always, spies closer to the front, pedrosa geats hurt (again),crutchlow gets 1st career podium. I hope I'm completely wrong and Spies becomes a true alien like I expected and wins the whole damn thing!!

So bored when the next season starts too, Pedro or closed.

Most interesting thing will be if any of the CRT bikes gets competitive enough to make Honda think twice.
