Come on, honestly, lets put all loyalties to one side and acknowledge that both NH and VR have a bike that is obviously inferior to the rest.

Now I know that that Casey was exceptional and got the Ducati almost exactly where he wanted it, but CS IS exceptional and also since then other manufacturers have moved on faster.

Clearly, Hayden and Rossi are better than this.

@Jackbee
Yes both Valentino & Nicky are great riders and yes they were struggling with bikes that were holding them back.
But I don't know how you can say that "Casey ... got the Ducati almost exactly where he wanted it".
He kept pushing the bike and fell off more often than I am sure he would have been happy with because of front end problems.
Clearly the Ducati has been a problem child for some time and it hasn't done any of them any favours.

So far so good. I gave the factory Ducati boys 6 points apiece based on overall merit and average concensus from friend and foe alike pigeonholes their poor performance over the length of 2011.
Were the machinery awarded points,I would have Honda and Yamaha equal on 9 with Ducati on 8.5 and Suzuki on 8.
What the Ducati factory riders lacked in 2011 was .5 of a bike and .5 of a second per lap as riders.:)

Only 7 points behind his team mate who had much more support over the whole season is good going for Hayden. it goes without saying that if he had the support that Rossi did he would have beaten his team mate quite easily.

Not a great season for Hayden by any means, but he did the best he could with what he had.

Rossi on the other hand had everything on a plate and still couldnt deliver.

@Ridgeracer.
Thanks for the heads up mate.
How sweet it is.
I also read the HRC comments they are really chuffed, but then the Rossi brigade will be saying what would they know. I know I know they've only been racing for 52 years what the hell would they know.????????????????

From being forced to ride Rossi's flex package after he rejected it at Qatar, to being sent out on soft tires, to the long wait for updates Nicky deserves to be ahead of Vale for only finishing 7 points back in spite of these factors.
