Spiesunderdog, interesting name, quite how someone on a factory machine can be considered an underdog I do not know. "Spiestotallyoutclassedbyteammate" would be a more suitable name perhaps?

We'll have to wait for the start of the season, but if the Tech3 machine is anything close to the factory Yams, I expect that Dovi would enjoy results as good, if not better, than Spies.

Spies is a good rider, and seems like one of the nice guys, but I don't think he is one of the true front runners like Lorenzo, Pedro or Stoner. He is second tier, much like Dovi, only not as experienced in GPs.

So sorry, but maybe it's you who shouldn't be getting excited.

Underrated? The guy will never win another MotoGP race. He get's praise all the time for his consistency, but he lacks those tenths a lap to be a Winner. It's funny Rossi would be called every name in the book for getting the results Dovi does. Simo was cooler and had more personality then Dovi that's why he's higher and he got poles, exciting rider.

I don't think that Dovi should be number one but he did come in 3rd over all and had the best GP season of his career. He's definitely not as flamboyant off the track as other riders are but he is fast, he is always fighting for top 5 or better, he's got a smooth style of riding and didn't crash nearly as often the 80% of the grid. I guess this is only opinion, much like a popularity contest but Dovi stuck it out there this year and I think he deserves better then 6th.
