I like Ben, but he will need to delivery this year to keep his ride or a least be consistent,

If Dovi is on equal machinery, he will be fast and after Ben's bike.

would of put, pedro's effort ahead of Ben, but Ben's a good bloke so good luck to him

Obviously win's and podium's count for little on here in this poll, personality isn't going to win you a championship judging by the way it's going shocked Vale didn't come in higher after all he had no wins

I agree with you guys who have posted previously.I dont know who voted in this or what their thinking was. Ben lovely guy great rider but a huge disappointment this year.Just cannot figure out what people were thinking about, maybe I was not watching the same thing as the rest this year.

Please Please say it is'nt so. I know the guy is deceased but to say Simo is in the top three after the way the rest of the results have fallen for the top ten shootout is stupid. Once on the podium does not make a top three rider of the year. I know that it's not all about results but surely a big head of hair matters little in the scheme of things. He had potential that was not shown. We will never know his true potential but don't insult his memory with feel good votes..

I had Spies at 5th, behind Pedrosa (3rd) and Dovi (4th) of course, but in front of Sic (6th).

Yes Spies got a win this season (gifted due to 2 of the Aliens out maybe), but it was still a somewhat lack lustre 2nd season for him. Lorenzo showed what the Yamaha was capable of, and if it wasnt for an unbeleiveable Stoner, Lorenzo would have regained his title, with the other hondas finsihing behind him as in 2010.

Spies really needs to up his game and try and prove he has what it takes to run at the top with the top 3. Thats what factory teams want. If the Tech 3 can keep up with the factory M1 once development starts, then Dovi will certainly have his teeth into Bens seat.

Next year will be a key season for the future of Spies' MotoGP career.

Some flashes of brilliance from the young yank this season but i am a bit surprised by his 4th place in this poll.I had him behind Dovi and Pedro. We will see what the new litre class bikes bring next year.I think they will suit him well.

So this will be the American vote coming in then eh, kinda like the eurovision song contest:)

5th best rider of the year,a few errors along the way but up against the power house of Honda he could have been placed higher.
