bbqman, Have a really close good look at the pic of Stoner dragging his knee and elbow. To stand trackside and watch this guy ride like this lap after lap is something any moto gp fan should be able to appreciate. If rubber chickens, fans dressed as doctors and poofy tee shirts are what moto gp fans need to keep following moto gp then perhaps they would be better off following some other sport.

Average only 8.7? Probably worse than Sic coming 2nd.

He podiumed every race except 1 forced DNF. Otherwise perfect season, came back from a 20point deficit and then brained the field into submission, eventually causing Lorenzo to push harder than he has had to in the last 2 years resulting in unforced errors and crashes.

He deserves it for getting an elbow down in that pic! About the only thing I get down is my foot!

This is the only result that makes sense in this train crash of a poll.

and, put on displays of riding at almost every round that all other MotoGP riders only dream of being able to do.

Stoner is an incredible rider that will probably not be fully appreciated until after his retirement or the retirement of VR which will allow a normal perspective to be reintroduced to MotoGP as apposed to the current 'Circus' perspective.

What a great rider and well deserved championship win, but hurry up Rossi we need you back up at the pointy end.

Looking at the picture from a rather uncommon angle, I wish Casey to break the curse of being the new No.One carrier! So Casey mate, do yourself a favour and join the group of the very few other former champs who also succeeded to break that curse at their turn! :)

Stoner makes past World Champions look like amateur club racers. It's awesome to see him ride, uncanny Race craft. Even WC themselves respect his talent... Spies, Dovi, Lorenzo, Rossi etc etc. On record, Stoner is a legend actively riding. He's on the books and well deserved!
