re: "This season was a tru test of devotion for us Vale fans."

but an even TRUER test at weeding out those claiming to be fans of the grander sport of MotoGP. we now have a better idea going forward of who's "part of the solution"...? and who's "part of the problem"...? everybody's slotted themselves into 1 of those 2 categorys whether they realize it or not.

I am a Rossi fan BUT,

What are you talking about mate??

Problems!? Solutions!? Going forward !?

WE are nothing.

We are only spectators.

Those, who think they are more than that, are deluded.

Maybe people are disagreeing with drdre because it isn't true for some.

First off, it's never a bad time to win.

And 2ndly, people will not always think of Simoncelli's death instead of Casey's title for 2011. Cruel as it may sound that is the case. When I think of 2003 I don't think of Kato's death as much as the new era of 990s coming forward or Rossi's 3rd title and last year with Honda or the year Bayliss, Colin, Nicky, and Marco M. joined MotoGP. Time seems to either heal the heart and/or bury bad thoughts. And Kato was a guy who won the 250cc title his 2nd full year in a dominant fashion and had podiums his 1st year in MotoGP. He was a much better prospect than Marco and reached those highs of a 250cc title and MotoGP podiums far quicker than Marco did. He was a very likeable character and was Japan's best hope of clinching the MotoGP title.

so... what you are really trying to say is the top 3 stories were Sics death, Rossi taking out Stoner and his response, and how bad rossi sucked on the ducati

pretty lame lumping them all together

The death of Simoncelli will always be a sad point for motogp in the 2011 season, but some people here seem to be using it in an attempt to belittle Stoners championship victory. Not going to work guys.

Brilliant stuff from Stoner to Rossi after the Jerez crash. The best MotoGP sledge of all time. It was still early on in the season, not everyone appreciated how good Stoner is (yet). He had the balls to say that to a 7x Champion and bigger balls to ride the heck out of the Honda to dominate the season. Ambition is more than talent - on reflection, how absolutely true!

Stoner (smiling): “How's your shoulder? Is it okay?”
Rossi (helmet still on): “I'm very sorry.”
Stoner: “Okay. You have some problem with your shoulder?”
Rossi: “I make a mistake”
Stoner: “Yeah. Obviously your ambition outweighed your talent.”
Rossi: “Eh?”
Stoner: “Ambition is more than the talent.”
Rossi: “I'm very sorry.”
Stoner: “No problem.”

Sorry it's off topic, but i just want to share the good news for us Yamaha fans. We found a nw title sponsor ENEOS. It's a brand name for NIPPON OIL CORPORATION a Japanesse Petroleum Company. Now the question is, How the Yamaha will look like as the ENEOS color scheme is also orange which already being used by Honda. Anyway for now i am just happy for yamaha to find a new title sponsor. What ever the bike design will be it's a suprise for everyone.
