@me, nice baiting comment.

Although it is total rubbish because Cal is already quicker than him.

I do however think that it will be very difficult for Cal to stay with Dovi this season. I cant see how anyone would expect Cal to beat him though really, so he certainly has his work cut out.

Its a safe bet to assume that Cal has to beat Dovi or at the very least stay with him to keep his tech 3 ride, and for a 'rookie' in his second year to beat an experienced guy like Dovi who beat an alien last season to finsih 3rd overall, thats going to be tough for sure!!!!

If he cant at least match Dovi, then i think the only way he can keep his seat is if Dovi really does well again this season to claim another factory ride, possibly Spies' seat depending how they compare, who knows.

It's Dovi's intention to stake his claim to a factory seat again for 2013, whether that be with Yamaha or anybody else, so staying with Tech 3 for 2013 will not be his ideal scenario. He'll be wanting and expecting more than that, which is why his contract with them is for one year only.

As for Spies, Lin Jarvis made Yamaha's position very clear in the MCN interview a couple of weeks back. Ben has to step it up next year, and Dovi most certainly has a shot at his seat if he doesn't. Jarvis was very plain and open about it, and it's really only what you'd expect from a leading factory team.

@Amicrazy, you obviously dont follow the sport as closely as some of us then. Its common knowledge that Spies needs to improve his results, and according to the factory Yamaha team, if he doesnt make that step, then he could very well end up losing his ride.

That said, i expect Spies to improve on last seasons results, although im not sure how much will be down to him improving, or how much will be down to other reasons.

This guy was on the best bike last year and couldn't win "@!#$%&*". He only got third in the championship because of Pedrosa's injury. Don't see him winning in 2012!
