Hes sorry alright.

The problem with stars of all disciplines is that they think they are special. They observe the behaviour of the elite and think they can behave the same way. I think he could have paid the money for a taxi or a private limo and made it home without breaking the law and endangering others. But that would have meant waiting for the replacement ride. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall inside the police

When I read this it seemed like he wasn't even driving, then the police offered him to drive, but when tested he too was over the legal limit? So he didn't even do anything wrong really? Or did I misunderstand the translation?

Wow. If the police are willing to let you drive when your friend is too drunk, and you have also been drinking, hadn't you AND the police better make sure you're OK BEFORE you get behind the wheel? Something is fishy. Sounds like entrapment by the police. I wonder what was lost in the translation.

Anyway, nice apology by Hector. That's the way to do it, once you are in the soup. Swiss Judge, you like to kick a man when he is down, and second-guess him, don't you. The guy made a big mistake, admitted it, gave no excuse, offered community service and promised not to do it again. What more did you want him to say.

Jesus Christ!!! Are you people all nuts?!

"GOT CAUGHT", "DRUNK", "MADE A BIG MISTAKE"... what the hell?!? Difference of 0.03 in alcohol consumed is not visible by naked eye. In Germany with .28 he'd be way below the limit. In Ireland it would be almost THREE TIMES below it. Jesus, are you all scientologist? Washed brains 'n stuff?

The way I read that is
Police pull his mate - who fails the breathaliser
They then tell him to drive it instead because he says he's only had one drink. Then decide to test him and he's over the limit.
So technically he hasnt driven it yet and he was only goin to do so on the polices suggestion.

I'd say entrapment
