Well 21 riders is not 'too' bad i suppose, even if it is only around 4 more than last season. That said, without the CRT's it would have been quite embarassing with only 12 'real' moto gp bikes on the grid.

Im lookig forward to seeing how these CRT's go in comparison to the real bikes. We might see a few surprises, especially from the likes of RdP and Edwards.

Its good to see Mr Stoner sporting his well earnt number 1. :-)

I have to confess though, i dont know quite a few of those riders, so ill have to do my research on them before the season starts.

Good to see CRT bikes... I think we all like the full on prototypes when money is flowing like cheap wine, but it isn't. As far as riders saying they would as soon not race if they have to ride one... while making millions in salary and endorsements: NOT A FAN!!! A racer races whatever he can and if the top class is bar-stools, you race them.
As far as the #1 plate... Flaunt it while you have it I guess, but it doesn't seem to stay anywhere long - for sure!!!

Good to see a grid over 20 bikes... It would have been pathetic without those CRT's...
Let's go 2012... I am ready for some TEST RESULTS!!!

Not really sure of how this is all going to work! The grid will look better, but it's not going to be nice getting lapped and there will be a fair few having that done to them!
I never think it is a good idea to use the no.1 as it does nothing but curse the rider!!

Stoner's decision to run#1. He did it in 2008 aswell.Oh yeah,he was defending Ducati's only title back then. I never saw HRC demand that Dani patch something other than any number of his choice, nor Hayden,nor....
Back to the grid line up. 21 is welcome and even if 9 are CRT its good for the game.
Probability suggests that at least 2 CRT riders will end 2012 ahead of factory/sattelite riders.
Who those stand out performances will come from is a a moot point.

Number plates hardly assigned,Sepang 1 to come and silly season underway.
www.twowheelsblog.com and Yamaha/Jarvis 2013 thoughts.
Oh yeah,#1 is the best plate in the game. 2nd best has to be #99. Only one rotation left said George. Damn right. Ben needs a double 1. Mind you #11 sums it up.

Someone more intimate with the regulations than I feel free to chime in here. But don't they all still have to qualify within 107% of the Pole to make the race? So what then? Will they then sidestep the 107% rule (which is typically cited as a safety regulation) to make up a good show?
