Not a chance.....Stoner would never ride a duck again after the way he was cast aside and duck then squandered a small fortune on Rossi, and honda has said in public that Rossi will never ride one of their bikes again...Hope the CRT's lift their game, otherwise Dorna and Epsi whatashisname really will have totally FUBARed the racing in all 3 classes ( 500GP, 250GP, 125GP )...

I agree with you both I watched the interview with Stoner it was very good and what he said was what everybody wants to see in GP.To all you real fans of GP racing please ignore blokes like Ausrossi he is not a GP fan the poor bu**er needs help with his bitter and twisted comments so instead of laughing at him feel sorry for him and I hope he gets help quickly he needs it

@Aussie.
your probably right bro.
this is the perfect thread to see witch people commenting use logic , and witch ones are blind with emotion.
after all , stoner is simply saying he wants vale and ducatti to go good this year , something a rossi fan should be able to identify with.

I said this man is talking rubbish because deep down the last thing he wants is a motivated Rossi on a competitive bike because he'll lose his title again. He would much rather have Rossi in mid-pack because it will continue to make him look like the only guy to be able to ride ANY dreaded Ducati...

Yeah Sean that's it, I'm bitter because my rider didn't win this year, the other 9 times mean nothing. I am pretty sure Stoner would not be quite bi-partisan if the roles were reversed. Equally when speaking of his 2011 wc he mentioned winning this one fair and square as opposed to the question mark over 2007. Despite many professional pundits also highlighting the performance disparity of the Honda compared to everyone else in 2011.

The contrasting fortunes of Stoner and Rossi last year on their respective machines raise the following speculations:-

1) Rossi's performance was abysmal despite the unprecedented effort and money spent by Ducati to eliminate handling issues.
This alone has highlighted the skill that Stoner used to ride around the problem (not appreciable at the time of course).

2) This begs the following question:-
World championships. What if Stoner had defected to Honda sooner. Would he already be 3+ WC?

3) Stoner's instant dominance over his established Honda team mates clearly demonstrated that the Ducati is a sub-optimal racing machine. Yet he put it on the podium many times in 2010. Ten victories emphatically sealed 2011 WC.

4) Rossi needs to raise his game considerably. After all, Stoner isn't the only player in town.

5) Injuries. Well, they are what they are.
If a rider breaks a collar bone, should all riders be required to undergo the same (handicap rules)?
