Funny comments made here by Rossi. He rips Honda for having a higher operating budget, but fails to acknowledge that his contract actually prevented Ducati from being able to operate as it could have. Rossi sold Ducati on his mythical ability to develop a championship mount from mere ashes. Ducati has surely realized by now that they didn't hire a phoenix, just some plain old ashes. If Rossi had a conscience he would return his paychecks, because he didn't deliver anything but failure. The Ducati could not have gone backwards any more quickly if it had square tires, was encased in concrete, and was being drug backwards by a locomotive, than it has under Rossi's watch.

@ Tetley,if thats the case, Rossi just ain't the same hard biter he used to be.
Rewind Qatar some years ago...'Gibernau will never win another race'. Never could find the b***s to say that about Stoner.
Nevertheless,MGP2012 actually needs this hype.
Stoner's no BS backlash is great for the sport.
Personalities, seething rivalries etc add to 'the money go round'. Hero and anti hero. I love it and Sepang 1 less than a week away.

If I am Lorenzo, Pedrosa, or Spies I would be making myself a nice cocktail and sit back and fan the flames of this one. The back-biting going on between Rossi and Stoner now is simply a rehash of the Rossi VS Biaggi days and then the Rossi VS Gibernau days. In both instances it ruined the careers of the guys who opposed Rossi. In this case however the situation isn't just that the other rider is competing with him. The other rider in this case was outperforming him on the same bike and then went elsewhere and dominated the entire category. With a guy who has as much pride and ego as Rossi that must be a hard pill to swallow. So it appears on the outside like Rossi is pulling out all the tools to make this a proper fight. Firstly by fully utilizing the press to do the dirty work for him and secondly judging by the videos on the web of Rossi't newfound love of Dirt Tracking he is finally acknowledging that it might just pay dividends in riding these things at the limit. Something his ow

cont.
Something his own teammate could have told him. He has openly criticized Ducati to the point that they're making another bike from scratch for him. I suspect the tires will be the next point of contention. But in the end you really can't blame Rossi for this. He is simply giving his people what they want. And based on Ducati's sales success and the Rossi faithful's never ending support and enthusiasm it doesn't really seem to matter all that much.

It took me a while to read all the fighting posts!! Good show apart from the troll trying to get Raw to bite..

However, in an exclusive interview with Italian magazine Motosprint - Can these writers be taken seriously or are they just an Italian incarnation of good for nothing McN?

If they're for real then Casey is handing the gauntlet to Vale's cheek very early in the season and good on him for his faith. If it's just a "twist" or the interpritation to get noticed then B0llix to Motosprint.
Casey needs an on fire Vale for next year to prove his REAL ability to crush all who dare challenge. Thats what I'm hoping his words really mean as Jorge and Casey fear each other but never bad mouth the other as they both understand 99 will win if 27 asleep and vice versa.

Ignore him Casey he is just a devious wind up merchant, it was Ducati that spent all the money last year trying to get Rossi to go faster but he could not. Its a bit sad this Moto GP these days as because most of Rossie's fans can't see the wood from the trees, Rossi has been hiped up so much they can't handle reality that he is not the greatest and never was "SIMPLES"
