When did Rossi apparently say this? I can't find any interview where Rossi "belittles" Stoner. If anything, he acknowledges how superior Honda were. Rossi's comments were competitive, but respectful.

I think Rossi has reached the end of his career (a career Stoner has a long way to go before he matches), but I would love to see him win one or two more races. Who knows, if everyone else busts their collarbones and gets compound fractures of the leg, he might stand a chance at the championship!

Many people here are suggesting that this is Rossi up to his mindgames. I thought this was a statement by Stoner? Fair play to stoner for having a pop at Rossi.
Like everyone else, I am hoping for better racing from the "premier class" this year

stoner and rossi and lets face it the ten 5 -6 riders all mouth off about each other look how they treated super sic last year maybe vale is paying him back who knows all you moaner fans remember LA,
i think and this is for the good of motogp that ducati will be at the sharp end fighting it out maybe not winning but battling and that is what the sport needs it dont need another season like the last one as people will switch off and remember if rossi left so would a large amount of the viewer and the others know it

I'll be up front here and say i'm a Rossi fan, will be wearing the 46 shirt at a few GP's this year and nothing will change that.

Casey, you've been well and truly vindicated. You've shown that you did ride the Duke in a way no thers can to win the title and your championship success last year was well deserved.
Vale, you are the GOAT and i hope and pray you get back at the sharp end. Another championship before you retire would be fantastic.

But I wish you would both shut up and get on with the racing as it's getting a little tedious now!!!

also for the record honda supplied 90,yes 90, frames for their testing programmes between 2009 and 2o10 (48 in 2010) and allong with all other development programmes changed their susspension supplier in the process .. the new gearbox was implimented in 2010 and only upgraded for 2011.. All they changed in 2011 was the pilot and tailored the bike to suit him.. After throwing everything but the kitchen sink at it in 2009/ 2010. Casey ,aside from the options allready available (susspension, mapping characteristics etc) basically rode a 2010 bike to victory ..because it was allready a good bike.

He did it with Biaggi, he did it with Gibernau, he did it with Pedrosa, he tried it with Lorenzo and now he's trying it with Stoner.
Rossi mind games don't work anymore cos he's not up against lesser riders or inexperienced riders. He's playing with equals and they don't care about his past glories.

Stoner is a great rider, but he can't deny he rode a superior bike in 2011. I like it when riders speak their minds instead of all the PR bullsh1t, but Stoner is showing a rather big head and even bigger mouth. Let's see what 2012 brings.
