know your history ,im not slagging stoner off, im just stating facts ,i actually think that stoner is the fastest out there, but he cant develop a bike like mr rossi can, casey rides the wheels off the thing ,rossi isnt prepared to go to the limits that casey goes to anymore,or maybe until he has a bike where he can?

Only a few Rossi downers today.

Rossi and ducati are still 1.2 secs behind and you guys are already going quite.

Come on , have courage of your convictions, Rossi has not won anything yet.

Valentino set out to turn the flawed Ducati into a race winning bike that could be successfully ridden by any rider. There was no way this was going to happen last year as Valentino did not know how hard it was going to be. However, Valentino, Jeremy Burgess and the rest of Ducati have worked their socks off to produce a working bike without the problems both Casey and Valentino complained about. It has meant a total re-design and a brand new bike produced in a seriously short space of time. If Valentino and his team don't actually win the championship this year, but can win races on this bike, then they should all be praised, not slagged off and ridiculed, as this in itself would be a major step forward and a real success. Look at the big picture and what Ducati will achieve once their bike is fully set up and can do what a race bike is supposed to do - have a rider, any rider take them to the top!! Give Valentino credit for once again helping an ugly duckling turn into an elegant swa

@dacron

Your post does nothing to help stop this Rossi via Stoner culture,reading your posts you may not actually criticize Rossi by name but you do a good job of criticizing him by stealth.ie: vehemently defending Stoner on a Rossi post.You and others like you are causing so much of this dislike of other riders ,please note I did not say hatred of other riders as I believe anybody that can say they hate a certain rider have got their priorities in life seriously wrong.

@MclarenP

It will only be a success when someone other than Rossi wins on it, if not then we go back to the old stale argument of only Stoner can win on a Ducati...

So what happens if Rossi is the only one who can? The Ducati that only Rossi can win on, lets see.....

Rossi is 9 times wc so he is the best rider!Stoner only has 2. He can't develop a bike. He built the ducati into crap. Only Rossi can change a bike. He is an engineer! He designed the golden gate bridge and built a swingset for king kong and one time he carved a swan out of a BF Goodrich! You guys are hilarious!
Muhammad Ali was once a wrecking machine but my daughter can beat him up now!Same situation.I am glad the new bike feels better even though it is just as slow as the old one. What if he never wins again?

@Ah choo.
i wouldn't go so far as to say i'm defending stoner , more like correcting false statements and imaginary beliefs that are directed at him is all.
so i wouldn't say i'm being stealthy either , just trying to put things down with little offence and as sensible possible.
i get plenty of dislikes even when i say something thats simply obviously true , so you can see how fragile some peoples minds are.
anyway i have my say and care non how people take it.
cheers.

What I'd like the most is to know is what Preziosi knows about why the previous Ducati did not turn-in well and why the current is the opposite. I hope one day he will write or talk about it somewhere.
