Actually Casey wasnt complaining about the weight itself. He was complaining about the rule change that happened now that all bikes are almost complete. And its certanly not fun to add 4kgs to a developed bike. To me it sounds fishy. If you take a look at the Pedrosa interview he has more problems with the added weight than Casey.

so wait, is the chatter on the Repsol bikes a direct result of the increased weight? before someone rips me up i just gotta say i aint no engineer.. :)

Always moaning. "This is going to affect me, wah wah wah!" the rules can change anytime up to the first race meeting. Especially as the engine size has changed.Honda should know that by now. In fact they probably do, it's just casey seeing it as a hinderance as opposed to a challenge. He wants another easy ride to another championship on the fastest bike. Stop moaning, and get on with it.

Important points are: Casey's words came from a PRESS RELEASE which would have been approved by Honda = Honda are pissed at the late rule change. However, from what Ezpeleta says they only have themselves to blame. how did hrc not know it had to be unamimous and who told dorna that it was unanimous, at first?? interesting...

Why keep going on about his weight? He ISN'T the lightest rider out there - check it out!! They used to use that as a reason for Casey's frequent highest top speed, but that was because he was so damned quick out of the turn precending the speed trap!! GEDIT? No amount of ranting about weights etc will change the fact that Casey is now on the best bit of kit and Vale will have to live with that.
