it's either u blindly criticize stoner
or u still new in racing

does what happen to rossi last year still not clear enough to showed what ducati capable of

stoner said on the interview back then when they ask about carbon fibre chassis
and he said if u think carbon fibre chassis is bad u should try to ride the trellis frame

stoner and the team can only play so much with what ducati offered to them

this could go on for long so i suggest u do the research on it

but ur post clearly showed u r in denial about casey stoner talent, and didnt know what happen about the issue with ducati, again if u still cant get the big picture
try to do research about what happen with rossi last year dont bother with stoner just do research about rossi last year

McLaren, you seem to know a lot about the mental attitude of a Champion defending his title.Perhaps you would like to rattle off the list of titles you have defended.I am sure we would all just love to read it.

top level bike racing has a long history of truly great riders that never acheived the titles their talent warranted, from racers that payed the ultimate price like sarinnen and recently simoncelli to those on inferior machinery like schwantz or any of the poor buggers that had to race agostini on an mv 4 with single cylinder nortons !
im glad that in caseys case he got that second championship, and looks to be in a good place mentally now to hopefully get a few more.
in 20 years time this guy will be remebered as one of the true greats, and revered by real racing fans,as will rossi.
just enjoy what we are seeing just now, regardless of the number of bikes on grid, for the first time since the late eighties ,early nineties we have 4 or 5 guys racing each other week in,week out that really are superstars, and for casey to acheive what he has in the current company marks him out as one of the greats.

@SwissJudge .
lol you don't need to go through all that key banging to explain the meaning of biased or convince me of vales race craft mate.
my comment was for the office boy with a team principle fantasy , his words clearly show he hates stoner so i gave him some candy.
i don't think a team would be too happy if the principle set off to recruit and was determined that stoner won't be considered a chance in the team if he was available do you?...i think today that would be a bad recruiting plan.
as for vales race craft!...one of the best ive seen , defiantly the best on the breaks , i don't think he is a dirty rider myself , at least not anymore.

Seems to be plenty of animosity towards Casey's title defence comments, I was privileged enough to surf against and with argubly the greatest sportsman in history during the early nineties, 11 Time World ASP Champion Robert "Kelly" Slater who has dominated the sport for 20 years now (not including his junior career) I'll tell you one thing about Kelly, he never "never" refered to a new year on the tour as defending his title, all he cared about was winning, he used to get filthy when he didn't, sure he was always thrilled to win those world titles, but I truley believed that Kelly cared more about winning individual contests than the actual title, that's what drives a champion, hopefully you might understand a little where Casey is coming from.

Well said cockroach. Eddie Lawson was another,'comming second is like kissing your sister,it doesn't count'.
Ho hum...why all the Rossi nonsense anyway. Sure as hell,Stoner's concerns heading into the season go about Lorenzo,Spies and Pedrosa in terms of racking up wins. The Ducati boys have to find another second within themselves as riders before they are of concern. Ducati has already given them a half second of bike judging by Sepang 1. Stoner found the extra second within himself 2008 through 2010. 2007 was bikewise even. The sweet handling M1 and the unruly GP7 rocket. Rock next week Sepang 2.

@ Southerner

How was the Ducati on the brakes? Braking has more to do with the capabilities of the machine and set up than the rider. You are correct, Rossi WAS a demon on the brakes with the Yamaha.

DP has been touted as giving up when people pass him, the problem was not DP, but the documented problems the RCV had under braking. This was why he was faster by himslef than in a scrap. Ironic that when he does go for broke he gets his front end taken out.
