Everybody is trying to make sense of Rossi s position.

My observation is that Rossi was having problems to keep up with Lorenzo at Yamaha.remember? Lorenzo title 2010.
2011 Ducati,Worst year of his career with a bike on which Stoner won the 2007 title, and many races after that.

Now we keep trying to offer him excuses.

What ever changes have been made he has been over a sec behind for 18 months.

Rossi is a great rider who managed to have an accident free career up to recently, when he broke his leg, but i think, ever since he has lost speed for some reason.
I hope this will change but even Preziosi has made a few remarks which caused some friction.

I really hope Vale proves me wrong.

@ Enrico

That's a good discussion point, if that accident changed something.
I personally don't think so.
What I'm sure about though, it that this ain't the place for serious dicussion :)

One point though, I don't believe that the 2010 Lorenzo's title proves Rossi was struggling to keep the pace.
They were still 2-1 in victories for Lorenzo (nothing) and Rossi was being faster the moment he crashed (might have easily been 2-2 after that race).

you included me in that post but my post was being sarcastic about rossi and the misbeliefs of his fans and i quote:
Only Rossi can change a bike. He is an engineer! He designed the golden gate bridge and built a swingset for king kong and one time he carved a swan out of a BF Goodrich! You guys are hilarious! Muhammad Ali was once a wrecking machine but my daughter can beat him up now!Same situation.I am glad the new bike feels better even though it is just as slow as the old one.

Really sad stuff going on...

firstly i expected the bikes to be upto their pace from last test and improve further.....if the conditions remain like these and its gonna take 3 days just to get back in the low 2's that will be a big dissapointment.....

other than that..the usual..stoner tops with least laps
rossi not getting fast laps even after all changes...hayden in his condition also getting a better lap time..
BTW did rossi and hayden have separate bikes or what ???? id hav expecpected rossi putting in more laps
