re: "I think it's plain for anyone to see that Moto2 has more interesting racing right now and they don't have any factory teams. So why on earth should factory teams be a must in the premier class?"

because riding for free while risking one's life will ultimately prove to be unsustainable. gotta look past the here and now and project 4, 5, 6 years down the road.

re: "MotoGP will never end. It's like saying that F1 will also end. There might be a decrease in manufacturers participating but it does not mean that the end is in sight."

good luck with that. it will if honda pulls out of MotoCRT and/or stops their supply of CBR engines to moto2. big red didn't spend the past 10 years trying to gain control of motogp just to give it up now.

re: "Who cares if it's manufacturer vs. manufacturer"

ummmn, the manufacturers. ya know, those crazy guys who make all the engines in the first place...? ya know, those crazy guys who can decide in a heartbeat to throw all their weight behind WSBK and turn dorna's lights out...? carmelo's thoughts of control are nothing more than an illusion. if a "rude awakening" is what he seeks, the factories are more than happy to give him one.

I remember in '97 when Honda wanted Fausto to use solely their own products after 'approving' Barros for a 'factory spec' V4 the following season..anyone remember the NSR500V, he did some amazing things on one !
So, Fausto was all for this, the Honda car turned up at his offices and to his horror it wasn't the 'NSX I hope for, they really think I'd drive around in a 'Civic'..and it's not even a fast one'...the funny one was 'I'm Italian, don't they know this !!??' :)
He's a family saloon man now, nothing fancy, but offering a 'runaround' to an anything but middle aged Italian man, and with petrol running through his veins, is just not at all well thought out, is it...

re: "All the teams have Ohlins... and for me, it's important that Showa represents only one team, and we're their top team and they're working with us."

translation: we wanted "free lunch", but being the wise swede that he is, kenth has long known there's ultimately no future in giving us (or anybody in the paddock) free lunch, so we were forced to switch away from kit proven to win races.

re: "big red didn't spend the past 10 years trying to gain control of motogp just to give it up now. exactly my point that you dissagred with earlier lol... ie honda n control"

not sure what post you're referring to...? but odds are you're simply misreading and are mistaken in your interpretation. no worries, it happens.

re: "It's clear MotoGP has many problems for four years, five years and every year it's too difficult, the financial end of it is too difficult. There is no money and every year the cost of the bike increases and the cost of the rider."

fausto, welcome to the intersection of opposing market forces known as "inflation" and the "devaluing consumer". quite the pickle innit...?
