re: "but that is not suggesting they will be a top front running team without the help of a factory and its resources and tuning engineers etc"

everything after BUT. see, whether it's production engines or prototypes, the factories are ultimately in control. i repeat, THEY (the manufacturers) MAKE THE ENGINES...! so there are no truly "independent teams". it's just a mis-used term that's lulled us (well ezpelata mostly) into a false sense of security. carmelo operates on the manufacturers good graces and nothing more. as yamaha, honda, ducati and suzuki are showing, if the factorys decide (collectively) they don't want to play "CRT ball"...? they're ain't a damn thing dorna can do about it. "you can have engines without racing, but you can't have racing without engines". you may quote me.

Rossi should move to BMW next year and become the new MOTOGP World Champion. Rossi is the best of the best, he would develope the new BMW and make it the best and fastest bike in MOTOGP. Rossi would be unstopable, and with his sexy good looks, and his do or die driving at 200mph lap in and lap out, sureley BMW & Rossi would make the perfect partnership ever!! If Calsberg posted comments, it would be the best in the world!!

@shamarone "and for the love o' god, will you guys please stop saying this. even if true, this will NEVER happen in practice so the issue is moot. IT'S A NON-STARTER...!!! if we don't leave "fantasy" to the world of harry potter, dungeons & dragons, and video games we're going to be here all day."

Ever heard of the Britten?
