“You have to not waste a second, carry on growing and get used to the bike. We are closer to the lead riders with every day of testing” - Toni Elias.

I thought he will be a lot closer to the front, of course these are early days, but I'm afraid this wasn't a good change for Elias. As a past champion he should be at least at the top 3 in the championship, but with Marquez, Iannone, Espargaro and the Kalexs it won't be easy.

Toni is a top racer and if its possible with this bike he will be at the top again. Terol, however, was flattered by his WC last year, if he was riding with any team but Aspar he would have been an also ran. Which is exactly what he is.

@Ben1 finding the fastest times takes more than talent, it takes the right people, enough money and proper machinery. Look at Marquez, Rossi, Enzo Ferrari, Schumacher, etc... The effort is much bigger than one rider/driver.

Look at Stoner, went from zero to hero (in the eyes of the blind) just cause he got the right kind of support.

nice going tony ,keep it up.will be great to have him at the front of the pack again, always a very entertaining rider to watch.

big wake up call for terol who does not have the advantage of being the chosen one with the best factory support and 8 to 10% more power than his competitors this year, zarco will show who really is the best rider between the 2 of them this year as he is on something a bit better than the underfunded outdated bike he had last year.

Zarco was lacking some topspeed, but I didn't think it was such an outdated bike. He raced for Aki Ajo, who usually have some good equipment. And it's a championship winning team (Di Meglio 08, Marquez 10)

Do not be fooled by this guy's lowly testing times, when it comes to the racing he will be up front and challenging for the title. He's in the best team in Moto 2 and we all saw what happended when he was last in the championship.

Had a poor showing last year but he is too strong/good for the majority of the field in Moto 2 this year.

Blow em all away Toni.

This is positive news. The series absolutely needs Toni running near the front - an amazingly entertaining rider who's not afraid to dice it up, and I'm sure the younger riders will be motivated to beat him.

As for Terol, he's fortunate that he has a good team behind him, and will hopefull learn a lot from Elias. Still, his times are a bit disappointing.
